Horrible Horrible Horrible

First off, I'd never been to this place before & after the way I and my guests were treated I NEVER will again. The bar is nice but that's where it ends! I was going to be in Long Beach to meet some friends and we decided to go here. The BIGGEST MISTAKE we could have ever made. It was on a Saturday evening and the famous "Rudy DelaMour" was playing. Now having seen this show for years I was pleasantly surprised to see him. My guests and I sat down for dinner and their began the insanity...service was horrid, the waiter was sitting at a table talking with there friends, 25 minutes later our waiter came and took our order...40 minutes later after that and NO FOOD! and when it finally got to our table the food was lousy....cold like it had just come out of the cooler. Next when we complained to "Eric" he was completely rude and nasty about it saying "no one ever complains about our food and if we didn't like it that we could leave...there we're others who could use the table" WHAT A JERK! he then proceeded to have our food packaged up without our asking and stood there staring at us waiting for us to leave. I asked to speak to the manager and he barked he was the manager, I then asked to speak to the owner and he said "I AM THE OWNER" handed us our bill (which was incorrect several things on it that we never ordered, over charged by $82.00 !watch your "tabs"!). Once it was corrected (again with a GREAT DEAL OF BAD ATTITUDE from the so called "manager/owner) we paid our bill & left the lousy left overs there...we walked out and as we did we asked one of the staff who "Eric" was...the employee replied "oh he's our manager" I asked if he was also the owner like he claims...the employee scofted and said "no this place is owned by Michael Barber" so he lied to us, but were we surprised, NO! We thouht we'd still try to give this joint a "go" after all "Rudy" is well known in Palm Springs and we love his show. Then we were standing at the bar ordeing a beer and apparently Rudy's show was over and they started something called "Dark Knights" aimed towards men of color. The crowd was SO NASTY, VICIOUS AND HATEFUL towards us and even at one point a 30+ y.o. guy after knocking a drink out of one of my guests hands said to us "this is a black bar and you aren't wanted here" we were so shocked and again "Eric" the so called owner was standing right there herd this and laughed... THIS PLACE COULD BE SO MUCH MORE! BUT WITH A MANAGER THAT "CLAIMS" TO BE THE OWNER....ALL I CAN SAY IS I WILL DEFINITELY BE WARNING THE PALM SPRINGS COMMUNITY ABOUT THIS LOW LEVEL CLASSLESS PLACE! AND ASKING THEM TO PASS IT ON! I HAD TO GIVE IT ONE STAR OR IT WOULDN'T LET ME POST A REVIEW BUT ONE STAR IS MORE THAN IT DESERVES!

Friendly Atmosphere

Its been awhile since I've visited "Paradise" but years and years ago it was the location of my very first date and my last visit back in 2006 I must say the staff is STILL awesome food is great, the entertainment was fun, I'm imagining in 2011 if anything this place only gets better! I am starting to venture back into the LBC more often so I will be revisting soon

What a great gay venue in the heart of Long Beach. They have drink specials all throughout the week, go-go boys on Friday night and it's a piano bar on Saturday night. We all had not only a great di
