The LGBTQ Center of Long Beach is thrilled to present the 3rd Annual Black and White Ball, a community celebration, on Saturday March 12, 2016 with dinner, dancing, and an awards presentation recognizing local and national LGBTQ luminaries. This year we will be moving to the beautiful Hyatt Regency Long Beach. This signature event is the place to see and be seen while out in support of The LGBTQ Center and our shared community.
Having sold out in its inaugural year and in 2015, the Black and White Ball is one of the most sought-after ticketed events in our community, and is expected to sell out once again. With an intimate focus on guest experience, attendees rave about the interactive elements of our event including silent auction, photo booth, red carpet photo opportunities, decadent candy bar, dancing, and more.
The Center will be awarding the Community, Political, and Youth Icon awards this year with winners to be announced shortly. Previous honorees at the Black & White Ball include celebrity Ross Mathews, Golden Globe-winning Amazon Studios Original Series Transparent, Congressman Alan Lowenthal, State Senator Ricardo Lara, the Honorable Ellen Ward, and the locally world-famous Jewels.
As the largest publicly supported LGBTQ direct service organization in greater Long Beach, The Center serves 25,000 clients annually through our programs and cultural events. The Black and White Ball is The Center’s signature gala, presenting guests with an evening of elegance and sophistication in the spirit of celebrating our community’s many accomplishments.
