That's right: free live music surrounded by colorful lights in a sweeping sculpture under the towers of the Ocean Center Building and Landmark Square.
Headlining this month’s Live After 5 will be the Long Beach-based jazz-rock infusers known as The Vespertines. Joining them will be:
- TV Heads (Los Angeles)
- King Kang (Long Beach)
- Neighbors To The North (San Diego)
- Tacky Little Hatshop (Temecula)
The Loop has brought much-needed activation to the 7,700 sq. ft. space that had been dormant for decades after the Jergins Trust Building, which previously occupied the property, was demolished in 1985. Having opened over Grand Prix weekend, thousands have already explored the space but have yet to experience at full throttle as an event space.
