Dave Newell Pride Fundraiser

The Long Beach Lambda Democratic Club is partnering with Long Beach Firefighters, Local 372 to host the Dave Newell Pride Fundraiser to kickoff Pride festivities. The money raised at this event will benefit both organizations and their community outreach efforts. Co-sponsors include: Congressmember Alan Lowenthal, Senator Ricardo Lara, Mayor Robert Garcia, Vice Mayor Suja Lowenthal, Councilwoman Lena Gonzalez, LBCC Trustees Doug Otto and Vivian Malauulu, 2nd District Council Candidates Eric Gray and Jeannine Pierce, MADE Long Beach, Crummitt and Associates, Regal Medial Grouo- with more being added. This event will also welcome back community icon, Zeep the Sheep. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on painting Zeep any way they'd like for his debut in the Pride Parade. Other auction items include a Disney gift basket, tickets to Pride parties and great LBFD items. UPDATE: The Long Beach Lambda Democratic Club is proud to announce that the St. Mary C.A.R.E. Program has been selected to receive the President’s Special Recognition Award at the Dave Newell Pride Fundraiser. Their dedication to ensure that HIV/AIDS services to the community continues within the City of Long Beach and the South Bay is invaluable and we are excited to honor them. Lambda, values the fact that since 1986, C.A.R.E. has been providing these services to residents regardless of their ability to pay. MADE Long Beach is donating 10% of prurchases made between May 15 - 22 when customers mention Lambda or Local 372.
