It's a Drag to Give is a charitable event featuring drag performances by outstanding Long Beach community members who you wouldn't normally find, well, in drag.
This year we are proud to have performances from the LB Mayorâs office, Senior Administrative Deputy Tim Patton, The "B" Room's Isa Rached, Cory Allen from Councilwoman Gonzalez's office, Gio Ferraro from Groundwork fitness, Jannay Lima from Queer Mafia and more. Our DJ will be the always happening DJ Notorious Jen. JEWELS and Ron Sylvester will be the eventâs host and MCâs for the evening with a special appearance from the hilarious standup comedian Narcizo Gonzalez!!!
It's a Drag To Give will kickoff at 7PM for cocktails, music, and mingling followed by an evening of not-to-be-missed performances starting at 8PM and ended with an after party till 2am.
Like always, ours is a free event as long as you bring with you an unwrapped toy and/or a gently used or new coat, if not is $20 at the door.
Donations and funds raised this year will benefit the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach, Beacon for Him, WomenShelter of Long Beach and The LB Immigrant rights coalition. And don't forget your dollar bills for tipping our performers! Proceeds go directly to our charities.
Special note: It's a Drag to Give is committed to providing a safe space for all people, regardless of race, ethnicity, background, heritage, religion, abilities, gender identity, and sexual orientation; the only identifying characteristic that will not be tolerated at It's a Drag to Give will be hatefulness.
